Bridget was founded sometime round the year 1995 (or maybe even few years earlier, the nineties were kind of blur) when Jamie decided to buy a drumkit, after asking my opinion about forming a band. Based on passion for music, friendship and a desperate need to impress the girls, me and Jamie started to look for people who would not only share the level of our musical perfection but also would not be too serious about it. We hooked up with some really cool people like Päivi and Tuomas, but finally Bridget was destined to be me, Jamie, Dino (a local chap from me and Jamies childhood home: Rusko) and Saku (we found him at legendary Turku Rock club Appelsiini, sharing the same fondness in alcohol and indie pop).

Ever since then we've tried to write good music and have fun performing it and that has basically been it for us. We've never set any career goals or anything like that. At least in my opinion we've taken huge steps musically and we've never actually even cared for more. Of course us being financially poor students this makes it difficult for us to get our stuff recorded without a deal, but why all music should be put on a record? The songs still exist and mean a world at least for some.

In the future we'll try to write better and better songs, play better, more intense gigs and put some more stuff on the internet, which in my opinion is a great way of distributing and promoting music. So we hope you'll keep in touch!
